AI Agent Quick Start

Pick the components you want, copy the prompt into your coding agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex…) and it will set everything up. You do not need a PostWard account to start.

Set up my local environment for agent-native social publishing. Work step by step and report exactly what you change. Rules:

- Do NOT ask me to create a PostWard account now — hosted features come later.
- Never ask me to paste secrets into the chat; use environment variables or config files.
- Do not publish anything during setup.

1. INSPECT: detect OS, package managers, Node (>=20), Python/uv, FFmpeg + ffprobe, existing MCP config locations (Claude/Cursor/Codex/other), and any existing agent skills directories. Preserve everything you find.
2. MCP CONFIG: locate the config file for my MCP clients and add the servers I selected below, without overwriting existing entries.
3. POSTWARD MCP: add the Postward MCP server (streamable HTTP, URL https://postward.cc/mcp). Do not try to authenticate now — the first tool call opens a browser for OAuth sign-in/consent; stop after registering the server and tell me to run any PostWard tool to trigger it.
4. MEDIA MCP (open source): install postward-media-mcp (Node >= 20, per its README). Configure it in direct mode: MEDIA_MCP_MODE=direct plus S3_ENDPOINT, S3_BUCKET, S3_REGION, S3_ACCESS_KEY, S3_SECRET_KEY — ask me for these values or read them from my environment; never echo them back.
5. FFMPEG: verify ffmpeg and ffprobe are on PATH; if missing, install via the system package manager and report the versions.

9. VERIFY: run a safe capability check for everything installed (versions, config presence, tool listing) and print a summary table.
10. REPORT: list exactly what you installed or changed, what you skipped, and the next step for me (e.g. 'run any PostWard tool to trigger OAuth').
