What You Will Finish With

Claude can read your workspace through the remote MCP; supported desktop/developer clients can also edit local media through Postward Creative.

  1. 1

    Add the remote Postward server

Use user scope so the connection is available across projects.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user postward https://postward.cc/mcp
  2. 2

    Complete OAuth

Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select Postward, then sign in and choose the workspace you want to authorize. Never paste an access token into chat.

  3. 3

    Verify the remote tools

Ask the agent: Check my Postward activation status and tell me the next incomplete step. A successful get_activation_status call proves transport, OAuth, and workspace access.

    claude mcp get postward
  4. 4

    Optionally install local Creative

If this Claude client supports local stdio servers, add Postward Creative for offline FFmpeg and ImageMagick editing. Your files stay on your computer until you explicitly upload them.

    claude mcp add postward-creative -- sh -c "docker pull ghcr.io/postward-cc/creative-mcp:latest >/dev/null 2>&1; exec docker run -i --rm -v postward-creative-output:/tmp/postward-creative ghcr.io/postward-cc/creative-mcp:latest"
  5. 5

    Confirm the two-server model

Ask Claude to list tools. Remote Postward manages campaigns, assets, review, and publishing. Local Creative edits files on your machine.
