What You Will Finish With

Codex can operate the Postward workflow and optionally call local media-editing tools.

  1. 1

    Register Postward

Codex shares MCP configuration across its surfaces.

codex mcp add postward --url https://postward.cc/mcp
  2. 2

    Authenticate

Start OAuth, sign in to Postward, and authorize the intended workspace.

    codex mcp login postward
  3. 3

    Verify

Ask the agent: Check my Postward activation status and tell me the next incomplete step. A successful get_activation_status call proves transport, OAuth, and workspace access.

    codex mcp list
  4. 4

    Add local Creative

Register the Docker command as a local stdio server when you want offline trim, crop, captions, watermarking, or format conversion.

    docker run -i --rm -v postward-creative-output:/tmp/postward-creative ghcr.io/postward-cc/creative-mcp:latest
  5. 5

    Keep secrets out of prompts

Postward uses OAuth. Provider and storage credentials belong in the browser setup surfaces, not in the Codex conversation.
