Connect Codex

Add Postward as a remote MCP server in Codex desktop, CLI or the IDE extension.

    Add the server

    Codex shares MCP configuration between its desktop app, CLI and IDE extension.

    Command
    codex mcp add postward --url https://postward.cc/mcp

    Authenticate

    Start the OAuth flow and choose the workspace Postward should open by default.

    Command
    codex mcp login postward
  3. 3

    Verify

    Confirm that Postward is enabled, then call list_workspaces from a Codex conversation.

    Command
    codex mcp list

No API key

Codex uses Postward's OAuth 2.1 flow. Do not paste social credentials, storage credentials or model-provider keys into chat.
